Matsuda is the only 6th generation successor of the rare Chinese art of Tai Shing Pek Kwar (Monkey Kung fu). He has been a student of the art for 35 years and teaching the art another 15, which makes his study in Monkey style up to 40 plus years. He has been the biggest advocate for Monkey across the globe. He is also the president and founder of the Martial Arts History Museum in Burbank. A former magazine publisher, he was also a contributing editor for Inside Kung Fu and Black Belt magazine. He is a 53-year veteran in the martial arts with studies in Shaolin Kung Fu with Buck Sam Kong, Judo, Karate, Jeet Kune Do, Jiu Jitsu, and kickboxing under-celebrated pioneer Cecil Peoples.
