Urquidez is considered one of the true pioneers of kickboxing. A career that has stretched over five decades, he is a six-time world kickboxing champion in five weight class divisions. He is undefeated in his 27 years as a professional fighter. With his trademark spinning back kick, he became one of the most dominant fighters of his generation. Refusing to be called a world champion until he faced the greatest fighters throughout the world, which he did, and beat them all. Founder of the famous “Jet Center” in Los Angeles and on the first round of voting, he was inducted into the Martial Arts History Museum in 1999. Today, he continues to be one of the greatest advocates of the art of kickboxing.
